Rev. Fr. N. Kyritses Reverend Nicholas Kyrtises was born on December 10, 1949 in Trikorfon, Nafpaktias, Greece. There he received his elementary school education and later he attended high school in Nafpaktos. In 1963, he was admitted to the Ecclesiastical School of Lamia, from which he received a diploma six yeas later. In 1970, he entered Hellenic College, Brookline, Massachusetts. Four years later, he received his B.A. in Philosophy and religious studies. He married Maria Kourouvasilis of Boston in June 1976 and has a son recently married and a daughter. He received his Master of Divinity from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in May of 1977. On February 10, 1977, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, with the blessings of his Eminence, Archbishop Iakovos, appointed Father Kyritses to be St. John's parish priest. He assumed this position on March 1, 1977 and still serves the same parish.

He is a member of the Stereoelladites Association "Athanasios Diakos" of Michigan since 1977 in which he served as President and Secretary for many years. He has served as secretary of the Federation of Sterea Hellas of the United States and Canada. He is an active member of the Hellenic Congress of Michigan and is involved with SAE since 1995 representing the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
