Dear SAE USA Members &Friends,

We recently received a letter from the President of the Greek National Tourism Organization, Mr. Nikolao Kanellopoulo, who encourages us to participate in promoting Greece in the U.S. in our places of residence.

As a first step, he suggests to promote the new online collaborative effort at www.visitgreece.gr, embed the YOUinGREECE promo video in our websites, blogs and in other popular social networking websites (facebook / twitter /flickr / friendfeed / yahoobuzz/ youtube / emails, etc.)

We are invited to become friends with the official GNTO facebook page: www.facebook.com/visitgreecegr where we can share our own stories, pictures and videos of our favorite places in Greece. We can also join: www.flickr.com/photos/visitgreecegr - www.youtube.com/visitgreecegr).

Mr. Kanellopoulos invites us to contribute specific ideas and proposals that will allow GNTO to take into account every single thought and idea on how to best promote Greece in our respective communities, the ones we’ve lived in for a long time and we understand better than anyone else.

At such a crucial time, it is our common wish to help the mother country. A practical way to do so is to participate in the showcasing of Greece as a tourist haven and the highlighting – through the internet – of the superb services that await our friends. We know how safe Greece is. We also know its natural beauty, the specialized forms of tourism it offers, the uniquely valued healthy food, the archeological sites and the millennia of history, the variety of cultural events, and, not the least, the endless blue sky and the brilliant sun. Search the website www.visitgreece.gr and you will discover a treasure of additional information. Because we embrace Greece in our bosom tightly, we are surely its best ambassadors.
