Hellenes from the U.S.
and Americans residing in Greece
now have the opportunity to receive assistance in their dealings with
government agencies through the new SAE office, it was announced today by SAE USA
President Ted G. Spyropoulos.
The new head of SAE in America also announced the establishment of a new office in Washington, DC, to follow development in ethnic issues more closely and to provide a meeting point for the Hellenic American National Council (HANC) and the leadership of the Hellenic community. “This is a new, progressive view of what SAE can provide to Hellenes in America and a part of what we consider a pioneering approach as to the mission of our unique organization,” Mr. Spyropoulos said. SAE is the official advisor to the Hellenic State about issues involving Hellenes worldwide.
The office in Athens
is located at Apollonos 5, 5th
floor, very close to Syntagma
Square and to the major ministries and government
agencies. Services will be provided by
Ms. Nota Lada who is in charge of the office and Mr. Elia Malevitis, advisor,

a.m. to 7 p.m. every working day. “We expect that, as new SAE USA and HANC initiatives and activities involving Congress and the administration begin to take shape, we will further increase our presence in Washington through this office,” Mr. Spyropoulos said.
